The-Westin-Doha-spa-500x500Starwood Hotels and Resorts has officially opened The Westin Doha Hotel and Spa – the brand’s debut hotel into the region and expands Westin’s portfolio to four properties across the Middle East.

The newly opened Westin boasts 365 rooms, suites and villas including a 347sqm presidential suite, all offering views of Doha city or the hotel’s  garden and pool area with all rooms featuring the  Westin Heavenly® Bed, a rainforest shower and separate bathtub  all which are set to reinforce the concept of rejuvenation.

The hotel features the Heavenly Spa with nine treatment rooms including designated male and female wings alongside a relaxation lounge and the wet spa areas with saunas, steam rooms and hydrotherapy pool facilities will open in spring 2016.

Commenting on the new opening, Guido de Wilde, senior vice president, regional director, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Middle East, said: “We are delighted to introduce our Westin brand to Qatar which remains a key growth market for us in the Middle East. In line with the brand’s commitment to wellness, The Westin Doha will offer travellers and local residents a revitalising experience, an escape from the hustle and bustle in the heart of downtown Doha.”

The hotel will offer six restaurants and bars; Luxe Lounge, a coffee lounge with outdoor garden terrace, Seasonal Tastes – global cuisine restaurant, Waves Pool Café and MIX Bar, Lounge and Terrace. In March, the hotel will introduce new concepts in Doha such as Royal Thai themed Sabai Thai and contemporary grill restaurant Hunters Room and Grill.
