Qatar Calendar Kicks Off 2026 with January Line-Up of Heritage, Sport and Live Entertainment

The January 2026 edition of Qatar Calendar ushers in the new year with a diverse programme of heritage celebrations, international sporting events, live concerts, outdoor festivals and family-friendly experiences. From desert adventures and cultural festivals to world-class competitions, culinary showcases and headline performances, January offers residents and visitors a vibrant start to the year through a rich calendar of events across Doha and beyond.

Heritage, Culture and Outdoor Experiences

Ennat Toyota continues at Sealine Beach Road in Mesaieed from January 01 to January 31, offering an off-road driving experience dedicated to Toyota and Lexus SUVs. Launched by Al Abdulghani Motors, the initiative allows visitors to explore dune terrain and purpose-built obstacles while experiencing advanced vehicle technologies in the heart of the Sealine desert.

Medina Centrale Carnival continues every weekend at Medina Centrale on The Pearl Island from January 01 to February 06, with live singers, comedy performances, roaming mascots, parades and family entertainment.

Brouq 2026 runs until January 17, offering a desert escape that blends glamping, dining, cultural programming and adventure activities within a distinctive natural setting.

The Lantern Festival continues at Al Bidda Park from January 01 to March 28, illuminating the park with large-scale lantern installations and immersive cultural displays for visitors of all ages.

Baraha Cinema concludes its season at Barahat Msheireb in Msheireb Downtown Doha from January 01 to January 03, presenting open-air film screenings, interactive activities and the signature Taste Cinema Experience. Hosh Msheireb takes place throughout the month from January 01 to January 31 in Msheireb Downtown Doha, offering a relaxed, family-friendly setting featuring authentic Qatari coffee and cultural performances.

Sporting Events and International Competitions

Marmi 2026: The Qatar International Falcons and Hunting Festival takes place at Sabkhat Marmi in Sealine from January 01 to January 24. Organised by the Qatar Falconry Association, the festival celebrates Arab and Gulf heritage through competitive falconry events, traditional markets and visitor-focused facilities.

The HH The Father Amir Prix runs from January 02 to January 31 at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab, marking a key fixture in the Doha Equestrian Tour.

WTT Champions Doha 2026 will be held at Lusail Sports Arena from January 07 to January 11, welcoming the world’s top table tennis athletes for elite-level competition.

Monster Jam takes place at Sealine Circuit Sports Club – Mawater from January 09 to January 10, featuring high-energy monster truck battles and stunt performances.

WTT Star Contender Doha 2026 returns to Lusail Sports Arena from January 13 to January 18, continuing a strong line-up of international table tennis events in Doha.

Qatar Custom Show 2026 will be staged at the Qatar Racing Club from January 13 to January 17, showcasing custom cars and motorcycles from across the region. 

Doha Marathon by Ooredoo returns on January 16 at Hotel Park, marking the 14th edition of the race with competitive runs and family-friendly activities along the Doha Corniche.

The Samla International Race takes place on January 24 in Sealine, presenting a 100-kilometre multi-stage endurance challenge testing strength, resilience and teamwork.

Fuel Fest Qatar 2026 will take place at Katara South Parking from January 23 to January 25, marking the first time the internationally recognised automotive festival is hosted in Qatar.

The Doha Fencing Grand Prix 2026 will be held at Aspire Dome from January 23 to January 25, bringing together over 400 elite épée athletes from more than 50 countries as part of the FIE World Circuit.

Match for Hope 2026 returns to Ahmed bin Ali Stadium on January 30, uniting sport, entertainment and charitable purpose in a high-profile exhibition match.

Concerts, Live Performances and Entertainment

Ludovico Einaudi will perform live at Katara Amphitheatre on January 09, offering an atmospheric evening of contemporary classical music.

Sealine Nights returns at Sealine Circuit Sports Club – Mawater with a series of live concerts, beginning with Moudi Al Shamrani and Sultan Khalifa on January 16, followed by Khaled Abdulrahman on January 23, and Samri Night on January 30.

Abeer Nehme will perform alongside the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra on January 23 at U Venue Theatre, presenting a refined evening of orchestral and contemporary music.

Baraha Musical Concert 2026 will take place in Msheireb Downtown Doha on January 15 and January 16, combining fine dining with live orchestral performances in an outdoor setting.

Haflatna Al Top will run at U Venue from January 29 to February 01, while the 25ᴺ51ᴱ Music Festival will take place on January 30 at the 974 Stadium Precinct, featuring two stages and an international line-up led by Calvin Harris, Alesso, Afrojack, NTO and Ben Böhmer.

Business, Culture and Major Events

DIMDEX 2026: Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference will be held at the Qatar National Convention Centre from January 19 to January 22, bringing together global defence and security leaders for strategic dialogue, innovation and international cooperation.

Qatar International Food Festival 2026 will take place at the 974 Stadium Precinct from January 14 to January 24, celebrating global flavours and culinary creativity through food zones, live cooking demonstrations and family-friendly experiences.
