Dubai Holding strengthens its presence in Europe’s hospitality sector by acquiring a property in Mallorca

Dubai Holding, a diversified global investment company with a presence in over 30 countries, has announced the acquisition of the five-star Jumeirah Mallorca in Spain.

The property, which has been successfully managed by Jumeirah for several years, will continue to operate under the management of Dubai Holding’s flagship hospitality brand, Jumeirah, renowned for its luxury hotels worldwide.

Located on Mallorca’s northwest coast, Jumeirah Mallorca is a premier luxury retreat featuring 121 rooms. Guests enjoy breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the UNESCO-listed Serra de Tramuntana mountain range. The property has also earned the prestigious LEED Platinum certification, reflecting its commitment to sustainability and environmental excellence.

Dubai Holding plans to further enhance the property, aiming to establish Jumeirah Mallorca as one of the brand’s flagship destinations in the Mediterranean region.

This acquisition aligns with Dubai Holding’s strategic focus on investing in premium assets across key global markets, supporting the company’s long-term goal of building a diversified and resilient international portfolio.

Amit Kaushal, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding, commented, “Acquiring Jumeirah Mallorca represents a strategic expansion of our global hospitality portfolio. It underscores our commitment to investing in high-quality assets that deliver lasting value. This property exemplifies the exceptional standards and guest experience associated with Dubai Holding Hospitality and Jumeirah. As we continue to grow our presence in world-class destinations, we remain focused on optimising portfolio performance and creating sustainable value through disciplined expansion.”

With this acquisition, Dubai Holding Hospitality’s portfolio in Europe now includes 34 hotels and resorts, comprising five Jumeirah properties. The group’s hospitality holdings span a range of prestigious brands, including Bvlgari Hotel Dubai, and its flagship homegrown luxury brand, Jumeirah, which operates 29 properties across key global destinations.

The addition of Jumeirah Mallorca further strengthens Jumeirah’s footprint in Europe’s top leisure destinations and supports its long-term vision to become a leading global hospitality brand. Already established in cities like London and Capri, and with the upcoming opening of Jumeirah Le Richemond in Geneva, the brand continues to expand in major gateway cities and resort locations, reinforcing its position at the forefront of luxury hospitality.
