Drydocks World announces a major milestone of 8 rigs berthed in Drydocks World facilities

Drydocks World, the international service provider to the shipping, maritime, offshore, oil, gas, and energy sectors, has announced that 8 rigs are currently berthed at Drydocks World facilities for drydocking, repairs and refurbishment. This is the first time that such a momentous event has taken place since the yards inception.

Lauding the achievement of Drydocks World, Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World, said, “This achievement demonstrates the success of our organisation. I extend my thanks to our team for winning these rigs and contributing to such an accomplishment. This proves their ability to efficiently maintain our advanced engineering capabilities, project management skills, and commitment to achieving Operational Excellence.” He added, “Our customer-centric approach leverages the world-class infrastructure of Drydocks World to exceed the expectations of clients, while ensuring the highest quality and safety standards to mitigate all risks and hazards. With 11.2 million LTI-free man hours already completed across Drydocks World in 2014, this is a testament to the impeccable safety record of Drydocks World. We look forward to efficiently completing the work required on these rigs and achieving further worldwide recognition for Dubai and the UAE as an international business and industrial hub, by offering value-added services to these global companies.”
