Jazan Emerges as Sustainable Tourism Model under Vision 2030, Blends Mountains and Red Sea Islands

Jazan Region is witnessing increasing popularity as a tourism destination, offering a mix of towering mountains, verdant plains, and Red Sea islands. The region combines rich heritage and diverse environments, suitable for relaxation and eco-adventures.
Jazan Principality and government agencies have taken exceptional steps to establish sustainable tourism in line with Vision 2030, including comprehensive development projects that improve infrastructure, roads, and facilities to high environmental standards. Development also supported the private sector, leading to the launch of eco-resorts and hotels, and creating quality job opportunities in hospitality and eco-tours for local youth.

Jazan’s diverse geography offers two distinct environments: the mountains, which feature terraced agricultural lands, ancient mist-shrouded villages, the heritage-rich Khawlani coffee farms, deep valleys, and hot springs ideal for adventure and contemplation; and the coast, where the Farasan Islands boast pristine beaches and unique coral reefs, making them ideal for diving and boating, with educational programs dedicated to marine environment conservation to balance tourism and nature.
Heritage villages, traditional markets, and cultural festivals complement the region’s tourism appeal. Community initiatives and volunteer programs further promote environmental awareness and a culture of responsible tourism.
