Saudi Arabian interest in Mohamed Salah has intensified amid a growing rift between the Egyptian star and Liverpool manager Arne Slot. Several Saudi Pro League clubs — including NEOM FC, Al-Qadsiah, and the PIF-backed “Big Four” — are positioning themselves to make a major move for the 33-year-old forward during the upcoming January transfer window.

Salah’s recent comments, in which he claimed he had been “thrown under the bus,” have deepened internal tensions at Liverpool. The fallout escalated when he was left out of the squad to face Inter Milan in the Champions League, fueling speculation of an imminent departure.
According to sources close to Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, the kingdom is prepared to do “whatever it can” to bring the Arab world’s biggest football star to the Saudi Pro League. Multiple clubs are reportedly competing for him, with interest extending beyond the PIF-owned teams to include Aramco-affiliated Al-Qadsiah.
Salah’s declining form this season, combined with Liverpool’s struggles and an emergency meeting among club executives, has led the Reds to seriously consider a January sale — despite their earlier public stance insisting he would remain at Anfield until 2027.
With the Africa Cup of Nations approaching and Salah hinting that Liverpool’s match against Brighton could be his final appearance before the window opens, the stage is set for one of the biggest mid-season transfer stories in recent history.
