Barwa Real Estate Group and Erga Qatar Architectural and Engineering Consultants signed an agreement that marks the first steps of executing the second phase of Dara project.
The project will be developed into the largest residential project in Fox Hills as all the phases of the project will be constructed over 147,000 square meters, owned by Barwa Real Estate Group.
Eng. Ahmad Abdulla Al Abdulla, Barwa Real Estate Group acting CEO, and Elie Chebly, Erga Qatar chief international projects officer and partner architect, signed the agreement during a ceremony attended by executive directors from Barwa and the project team from Erga Qatar. As per the agreement, which is worth approximately QR 88 million, Erga Qatar will conduct the design and supervision works of the second phase of Dara project. The design phase and the supervision phase will go in parallel, with the design implemented over two years and the supervision and execution done over three years.
“Once ready, Dara B-F will be a distinctive residential destination offering a unique atmosphere of luxury to its tenants and visitors. Barwa is keen to develop distinctive projects in Qatar which are benchmarked against international standards of real estate projects. Visitors of Dara B-F will enjoy an array of entertainment amenities and luxurious services,” Al Abdulla said, adding: “It’s a pleasure to be working with Erga Qatar as a one team in order to develop this project as per the standards and quality which Barwa pursues.” Works on Dara B-F will be divided into nine phases over three years starting from Sept. 2015 until Sept. 2018. The project is expected to offer over 2,000 high quality residential apartments and serviced apartments, of different sizes, as part of 53 buildings for residential and multi-use. The project will provide as well basement car parks, hotels, restaurants, commercial units, green spaces, swimming pools and sports facilities. Other entertainment facilities will be added to the project to serve tenants and visitors in addition to being located on the main commercial street of the city.
Erga Qatar is part of Erga International Company specialized in architectural and engineering consulting services. The company has large experience in the field having worked on over 1,500 projects in more than 30 countries, varying from civil projects to architectural and engineering studies. It has many branches around the world which includes offices in UAE, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Nigeria, Egypt and Algeria.
Dara B-F is a continuation for the first phase of the project Dara A, which Barwa launched last year during its participation in Cityscape Qatar 2014.
