Palestinian Ambassador to Kuwait Rami Tahboub said the first Palestinian industry exhibition, scheduled on April 29th, represent “a leap toward trade relations between the two countries,” to be bolstered by a trade exchang
e agreement.
The ambassador said, at a press conference on the occasion of a Palestinian economic delegation’s visit to Kuwait, that “Palestinian goods will be entering Kuwait via Jordanian companies due to lack of trade understanding and agreements between the two countries.” On the exhibition, Tahboub said that cooperation between the embassy and Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry resulted in holding the exhibition, which aims at opening new horizons of cooperation between Kuwaiti and Palestinian businessmen, and to encourage investment in Palestine.
Tahboub added that such exhibitions promote economic relations between Kuwait and Palestine, and contribute to preserving City of Jerusalem by encouraging Arab investments in Palestine, pointing out to the great investment opportunities in Palestine.
The ambassador explained that investment opportunities were in real estate, tourism, and agriculture, noting that Palestinian laws and business environment provide adequate security for local and foreign capitals.
The ambassador said the exhibition will include participation of 53 Palestinian companies and one factory, displaying stone, marble, leather, and traditional food products like olives and dates.
Other products will include wood, glass, and Palestinian heritage furniture industries, the ambassador added.
