Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Thursday laid a wreath at the General Jose de San Martin Memorial, the statue memorial of Argentine general, independence leader and national hero Jose de San Martin.
Accompanied by members by his delegation, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was saluted by the honour of guard upon arrival at the monument located in Plaza San Martin in the Argentine capital city.
Jose de San Martin is considered the symbol of freedom and national hero and liberator of Argentine, Chile and Peru and the prime leader of their successful struggle for independence. He became the first president of Peru between 1821-1822.
