Mohamed bin Zayed, Bahraini King discuss bilateral relations, regional developments

His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of U.A.E. Armed Forces, and HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on Sunday discussed the strong U.A.E.-Bahraini fraternal relations and their continuous development in different spheres.

During the meeting which was attended by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed conveyed to King Hamad greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his best wishes for continuous progress and prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain.

For his part, HM King Hamad welcomed H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the delegation accompanying him to Bahrain, and requested him to convey his greeting to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his best wishes for good health for him.

The Bahraini King expressed his pride in the development of relations with U.A.E. in all spheres and wishes for further progress, growth and glory for U.A.E. and its people.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the outstanding bilateral relations between the two fraternal countries and the continuous endeavours of their leaders for furthering bilateral cooperation.

They affirmed their keen mutual interest in enhancing these firm relations and emphasised the importance of continuing fraternal consultations and coordination in the service of the their two countries and peoples and the march of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC).

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed the latest regional developments, the most important of which is the Palestinian cause, and ways to put an end to the shedding of the blood of innocent people, and the destruction of the properties and houses of Palestinians in Gaza Strip.

Later, HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain hosted a lunch banquet in honour of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the delegation accompanying him.
