National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim will leave Kuwait Sunday, heading a parliamentary delegation on an official four-day visit to Switzerland.
“During the visit, the Kuwaiti delegation will meet and hold talks with leaders of the two houses of the Swiss parliament,” said the National Assembly’s General Secretariat in a press statement Saturday. The delegation will also meet chairpersons of the foreign affairs committees of two houses of the Swiss parliament.
“The talks would focus on means to boost bilateral cooperation between Kuwait and Switzerland in political, economic and the parliamentary domains,” said the statement.
“The regional and international developments of common concern will be also tackled.” During his stay, Al-Ghanim will meet UN Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees Alexander Aleinikoff and Vice-President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Christine Beerli.
