Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East, Africa and Asia is on-track to deliver Oman’s ultimate shopping and retail destination, Mall of Oman. The mall announced today that it has reached an important milestone after signing a deal with retail giant Apparel Group. The global conglomerate will bring a host of fashion, lifestyle, and F&B brands to the mall in anticipation of its March 2021 opening.

The list of global brands being onboarded includes a variety of fashion options, with clothing at different price points, such as Garage, LC Waikiki and Levi’s. Visitors will also be offered a breadth of cosmetics and beauty products with upcoming stores like Inglot and Rituals. And, when it’s time for a break, customers can sit back and enjoy coffee or desserts at outlets like Molten Chocolate Café and Tim Horton’s.

Mall of Oman will also welcome Dutch variety store HEMA and clothing retailer New Yorker to the country for the very first time. The currently confirmed Apparel Group brands will be taking up a gross leasable area of 10,000 sqm, indicative of the already sizeable area of the upcoming Mall of Oman.

Nilesh Ved – Chairman of Apparel Group said, “We believe in being ‘forever future ready’ and with this prudence we have captured key markets and prime locations in the GCC way before our competitors analyze the landscape. Our next strategic venture is with Mall of Oman, where in we launch some of our prestigious global brands, which is certain to create the much needed high street shopping ambience for the local consumers. We are confident we know what our consumers want and bringing it to them at the right place and right time is crucial to us. By doing so Apparel Group aims to raise Mall of Oman’s customer experience to the next level.

Fuad Sharaf– Managing Director of UAE, Oman and Bahrain Shopping Malls, at Majid Al Futtaim Properties, said, “Mall of Oman will offer an unparalleled shopping, dining and entertainment experience in the country, ultimately creating great moments for everyone, every day. At Majid Al Futtaim, our focus is to tailor our offering in response to the needs and wants of our customers – that’s why we’re bringing a diverse retail mix including international brands and the latest trends to our clientele in an accessible location. Our strategic partnerships with companies such as Apparel Group reinforce our commitment to providing residents and tourists from across Muscat and the region with holistic shopping experiences.”

Mall of Oman, Majid Al Futtaim’s fifth and biggest lifestyle destination in the Sultanate, will have 145,000 sqm of retail space, dining outlets and a range of lifestyle experiences. The mall will also include Oman’s largest VOX Cinemas, a Magic Planet family entertainment centre, a 12,200 sqm Carrefour Hypermarket and the largest indoor snow park in the sultanate.
