The UAE has taken a major step toward electrified transport with ION’s launch of an all-in-one EV charging platform

In a major advancement for sustainable transport, ION, a joint venture by BEEAH and Crescent Enterprises, has launched the UAE’s first fully integrated electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem — combining the new ION app and an advanced Charge Point Management System.
The platform was unveiled at the Evolve Future Mobility Show at Expo Centre Sharjah, positioning the UAE at the forefront of clean transport innovation in the region.
Designed to simplify EV adoption, the system enables end-to-end charging management, giving drivers access to over 100 ultra-fast EV chargers nationwide, in collaboration with the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA).
Through the ION app, users can locate nearby chargers, monitor availability, and automate payments, while operators and property owners gain real-time insights and management tools. The platform also integrates AI features to support operational efficiency and user convenience.
Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO and Vice Chairman of BEEAH, stated that it is a significant step towards accelerating the electrification of cities in the region. He also added that the launch is not only addressing infrastructure gaps but also enabling easier market access for new EV players.
Tushar Singhvi, Deputy CEO of Crescent Enterprises, noted that the launch supports the UAE’s net-zero goals and affirms the regional leadership in clean, connected transport.
The rollout follows ION’s agreement with SRTA to deploy ultra-fast chargers across Sharjah, delivering up to 400kW of power, capable of charging EVs in approximately 20 minutes — a move that significantly reduces range anxiety for both individual and fleet users.
At the event, ION showcased the system’s live charging demos, automated payment, and operator dashboard functionalities. The company has previously delivered several key projects in the UAE, including the first ultra-fast charger on Yas Island and a sustainable ride-hailing service in partnership with Masdar City.
Amir Melad, CEO of ION said that the goal is to make EV adoption seamless for individuals and scalable for businesses.
The ION app is now available on both iOS and Android, with planned expansion into the wider GCC region in the coming months.
