Deliveroo and Medcare have come together to deliver prescription medicine for patients within Dubai.
The partnership has been put in place to support Medcare patients at a time when people in need of medical assistance are more comfortable having medicines delivered at home instead of going out.
Customers that use teleconsultation with Medcare doctors will now be able to order their prescribed medicines via a new tab on the Deliveroo app with the help of their prescription number.
The deliveries will be made by Deliveroo riders from the chain of Medcare-associated pharmacies across the cities. Customers will be able to search for Medcare as they would a restaurant in the app.
In order to use this service, patients will have to submit insurance information or payment directly to Medcare doctors and use their allotted prescription number to log on to the Deliveroo app and place an order for delivery.
Deliveroo will charge patients a delivery fee of AED 12.51 for each order placed and medicine payments will be handled by Medcare directly.
