Al-Jouf Municipality’s latest initiative encourages residents of all ages to engage in physical activity, supporting Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of a healthier, more active society

In a significant push towards fostering a vibrant community sports culture, Al-Jouf Municipality has developed 44 new walkways and cycling tracks across the region. These facilities, spread throughout neighbourhoods, parks, governorates, and local centres, are successfully attracting a diverse group of residents to embrace walking, cycling, and physical exercise.
The initiative aligns with the broader goals of Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to increase physical activity rates, enhance public health, and build a lively, prosperous society. By offering accessible and well-equipped spaces, the municipality is encouraging healthier lifestyles and greater community engagement in sports.
The newly established walkways have become popular venues for numerous walking events hosted by government bodies, private organisations, and fitness enthusiasts alike. Residents have praised the availability of facilities such as restrooms, seating areas, and surrounding green spaces, which make exercising more comfortable and enjoyable for people of all ages and fitness levels. The tracks are frequented throughout the day, whether in the cool mornings or tranquil evenings.
This initiative not only supports physical wellbeing but also nurtures a spirit of togetherness and active living in the Al-Jouf Region, contributing to the Kingdom’s long-term vision of health and prosperity.
