The number of producing factories in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia amounted to (6,670) by the end of the 2nd quarter of this lunar year 1435 AH with a total funding exceeded one trillion Saudi riyals, while the total number of workers in the factories reached (891,500 .
In its latest statistical report published on its website, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that the Riyadh region topped the list of the number of producing factories in the Kingdom with a total of (2,878) factories and a volume of financing at (114.4) billion Saudi riyals, followed by the Eastern region (1572) producing factories with total funding amounted to (629.8) billion Saudi Riyals, then Makkah region with about (1,254) producing factories with total funding amounted to (131.9) billion Saudi riyals.
The rest of the factories are distributed to the rest of the Kingdom’s region. Baha region has the lowest share with an estimated number of just (15) producing factories with a total funding amounted to 59 million Saudi riyals.
