Locally-owned supermarket Spinneys today launched its online grocery delivery service in Dubai, expanding its offering and providing customers an easy, convenient way to shop. Renowned for supplying top quality produce and the highest level of customer service, Spinneys promises to deliver not only on the freshness of its offering, but variety, too.

The new e-commerce offering is a direct response to consumers’ changing preference to shop for groceries online. However, Spinneys anticipates demand for online grocery will continue to gather pace, and it is committed to delivering the best omnichannel customer experience.

Sunil Kumar, CEO at Spinneys commented: “Demand for home grocery deliveries has never been higher. Launched amidst the economic challenges caused by COVID-19, our new service will offer our customers an efficient, convenient and safe way to shop for their groceries. Stepping into the world of e-commerce strengthens our ability to further support our communities and continue to provide our customers with the best possible products in the best possible way”.

Committed to the health and wellbeing of its customers and the environment, the company’s mantra ‘Eat Well, Live Well’ is reflected in its product offering and the implementation of its sustainability programme ‘Let’s Do Better Together’. With growing demand from conscious consumers for supermarkets to provide a broader variety of food products to cater to specific preferences, from natural ingredients to organic and free-from products, Spinneys wants to ensure its customers not only eat well, but live well too.

“We’re constantly looking for new and better ways to support our customers. Having built a strong name for offering a great assortment of safe, fresh and quality products, we want to extend this to our customers’ doorsteps. Our new service will maintain our highest food standards, while making our customers’ food shopping experience as easy and enjoyable as possible,” Kumar added.

Customers can create an account on Spinneys.com and browse from thousands of products to add to their shopping cart before proceeding to check out. The minimum order spend is AED 100 and orders over AED 350 are free of a delivery charge. For those below AED 350, there is a flat rate fee of AED15 per delivery. At present, the service is available for Spinneys customers in Dubai only, but shall expand to Abu Dhabi soon. There will also be an App available for download in the coming weeks.
