The new hospitality Digital Expert Summit hosted by Rational focused on the resilience, innovation and ingenuity moving the industry forward through to recovery.
The event featured eight speakers, amassed more than 250 registrations, and was held over two sessions, with a worldwide presence – highlighting that live events can be broadcast over the internet.
“Interesting presentations, a chat function for questions to the speakers and a discussion roundtable that was broadcast live made this event extremely lively. We wanted to offer our industry a platform for exchange and discussion and we were very pleased with the outcome,” says Nicolas Makowski, Senior Vice President Rational International AG and responsible for the first digital summit.
On August 26, international opinion leaders from the F&B industry met for the first digital Expert Summit hosted by Rational. Innovative, Digital and Sustainable were the keywords of the three thematic areas of the conference.
The presentations ranged from neo-ecology, risk management, equipment networking and cooking sequences to restaurant concepts that set a new standard.
“The opportunity to ask the speakers questions after the presentation was taken up diligently by some listeners, while others used the news feed to download current white papers and best practice examples,” adds Makowski.
In addition, the participants were able to network with each other on the platform, arrange appointments and also get in direct contact with the speakers. The summit was available at two different times to enable worldwide participation.
“This was used in large numbers,” explains Makowski. “Participants came from over 25 countries. For all those who wanted to take a closer look at the topics or did not have the opportunity to participate live at the Summit, Rational compiled all the content on expert-summit.com. Access is free of charge.”
Rational announced that plans were already underway for the next topic.
