Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is proud to introduce its new resident practitioner Liza Gonzalez Hamilton-Smith, a certified yoga instructor, energy and sound healer who leads guests on highly personalised journeys of wellness.
Liza Gonzalez Hamilton-Smith is a citizen of the world. She has spent her entire life travelling and immersing in new cultures, including different healing traditions from East to West. Now in residence at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort, she blends these healing traditions together to help guests restore balance to body and mind.
Physical healing is presented in the form of yoga, adapted to each guest’s personal needs and abilities. As a Yoga Alliance-certified yogi, Liza draws on elements of classic hatha, slow and deliberate yin, and flowing vinyasa to relieve pain, restore flexibility, strengthen and invigorate.
Balancing the physical is the mental, with various forms of relaxation techniques such as mindfulness meditation, breathwork and sound healing. Liza utilises Tibetan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls and tuning forks to find the exact frequency and timbre that resonates with each guest, the vibrations washing over them, releasing pent-up tension, and bringing about a profound sense of peace.
Liza is also a seasoned energy healer, with almost three decades of experience in reiki.
Through her hands she channels the universe’s life force, or “ki”, through the guest’s body to restore flow and vitality.
