Dubai has created an ideal balance between safety precautions and holiday destination and delivered on its promise to welcome global visitors while adopting policies that ensure the highest standards of health and safety of all visitors.

Despite being a magnet for global tourists, the Emirate is also a leading tourist destination for Armenian visitors due to its immediate and proactive response to COVID-19 pandemic.

This was stated by Victorya Matevossian, CEO, AV Travel Boutique during an exclusive interview with Gulf Today on Thursday.

Victorya mentioned that Dubai has emerged as a hot spot for global tourists and investors buoyed by its steady economic growth, world-class infrastructure, tolerant and inclusive culture for multiple nationalities and ease of access to the rest of the world.

She noted that currently, Air Arabia and flydubai are flying from the UAE to Armenia, adding that around 21,000 tourists in 2018 and 37,000 in 2019 from the Emirates visited to her country.

Victorya disclosed that Dubai is one of the safest destinations for travellers in world, adding that around 70% of Armenian tourists have travelled to the ‘City of Wonders’ during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Dubai Expo 2020 is another amazing opportunity for the global tourists and a lot of Armenian visitors are expected to visit the mega event once it opens to the public in October this year.”

Armenia is also an attractive tourist spot and our country is open to receive more visitors from the UAE in order to explore more avenues,” Victorya concluded.
