With two decades of proven leadership in luxury hospitality, Arun brings fresh perspectives, a passion for innovation, and an unwavering commitment to enriching guest experiences.
Arun’s journey with The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort and Al Wathba Desert Resort & Spa began in 2021 when he assumed the role of Multi-Property Executive Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage. Demonstrating operational excellence and a deep understanding of guest-centric service, he advanced to Hotel Manager and subsequently served as Interim General Manager at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort. In December 2024 he was appointed Multi-Property General Manager for both properties in recognition of his strategic vision and unwavering dedication, a testament to his outstanding leadership and commitment to excellence.
Under his leadership, Arun has led several initiatives that have reshaped the guest experience. The opening of Café Ginori at The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort combined Italian heritage with modern elegance, setting a new standard for dining and lifestyle concepts. In addition, the launch of Kayali Afternoon Tea, inspired by the signature fragrances of Kayali, offered guests a unique and memorable experience, which quickly gained recognition and praise.
A key highlight of Arun’s leadership has been his work with Sontaya Abu Dhabi, the resort’s renowned Southeast Asian restaurant. By reimagining its concept, design, and menu, Arun has elevated Sontaya, positioning it as one of Abu Dhabi’s most exclusive and sought-after dining experiences. He also inaugurated a new bespoke outdoor catering service, further expanding the resorts’ reach and solidifying their reputation as key contributors to Abu Dhabi’s luxury events scene.
These efforts were recognized with The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort receiving the Best F&B Operations Award – EMEA 2024 within the Marriott International portfolio. This award reflects Arun’s focus on operational excellence and the resorts’ elevated service standards. Additionally, 2024 was a record-breaking year for both properties, with financial achievements underscoring the success of Arun’s leadership.
Looking ahead, Arun is focused on continuing to evolve both resorts, ensuring they stay true to their individual identities while embracing innovation and sustainability. His leadership is driving both properties toward a future of continued growth, with a commitment to elevating culinary offerings, forging luxury brand partnerships, and overseeing overall asset enhancements.
