The public is invited to cast their vote to identify the restaurants that in the UAE serve the best Pasta recipes.
On June 23rd, the Italian Business Council, a private association operating in the UAE under the umbrella of Dubai Chamber, proudly introduced The Pasta Awards. This groundbreaking culinary competition aims to uncover the finest and most beloved restaurants serving pasta dishes in the UAE.
Renowned for its vibrant food scene and reputation as a culinary hub, the UAE offers an astounding array of international flavors and influences. Amidst this multinational culinary landscape, The Pasta Awards embarks on an exciting quest to rediscover the quality of traditional Italian cuisine while embracing the innovative approaches of international chefs.
“Pasta, the symbol of Italian cuisine, has now found its place on menus throughout the country. THE PASTA AWARDS celebrates the art of cooking exceptional pasta creations, offering participants and guests an extraordinary culinary experience,” explains Thomas Paoletti, the President of the Italian Business Council.
This remarkable event, organized with the support of the UAE Restaurant Group and the Emirates Culinary Guild, unfolds in three phases. From June 23rd to July 31st, the public is invited to nominate their preferred pasta-serving restaurants across three distinct categories. From August to September, the 21 restaurants with the highest number of nominations will be visited by the professional jury of the Emirates Culinary Guild, who will select six finalists (two per category).
On the Awards night, attendees will have the unique opportunity to savor the six best pasta dishes in the UAE all at once, culminating in the grand finale on October 24th, 2023.
The three selected categories are as follows: Best Innovative Pasta, showcasing dishes that push the boundaries of traditional recipes by incorporating unique flavors, unconventional ingredients, or creative techniques; Best Traditional Pasta, featuring classic Italian culinary recipes that skillfully combine pasta with a variety of flavorful ingredients; and Best Vegetarian Pasta, highlighting pasta-based meals that exclude any meat or seafood components.
