Reform Social & Grill Delivers Unique Garden-to-Table Experience with Homegrown Produce

Reform Social & Grill, Dubai’s first true gastropub, has a new secret ingredient – homegrown vegetables harvested from their sustainably sourced allotment garden. The restaurant is at the forefront of Dubai’s sustainable cuisine scene as its chefs use the garden’s produce to create a unique farm-to-table experience, honouring local sustainability efforts by delivering culinary delights to diners.

Over the past 12 months, the garden has grown as a result of the restaurant’s efforts to integrate more sustainable processes into its operations. The idea for the garden started in 2022 when Reform Social & Grill launched an investigation into how it managed its own food waste as it looked for ways to build a more sustainable future for food. One finding from the study was the alarming amount of food waste generated by the restaurant in a month. So, in an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, Reform Social & Grill decided to repurpose kitchen scraps into compost for a new allotment garden, which would also provide fresh greens and vegetables for the culinary team.

Originally established by Head Chef Yugal Kishor, the onsite garden grows fresh organic ingredients, offering the restaurant’s chefs and guests a bountiful harvest of delicious flavours. From garlic, parsley, tomatoes, chilli and bell peppers to cucumbers, broccoli and more, almost every dish on Reform Social & Grill’s menu features a taste of the restaurant’s vibrant garden. Every day, the culinary team chooses a selection of homegrown produce, using these organic gems to create dishes that will tantalise taste buds like never before whilst supporting sustainability.

From succulent garden salads to dishes that are nothing short of culinary masterpieces, the freshness of the produce shines through in every bite. Among the dishes available to diners are true farm-to-table options filled with flavour, including Minted Beetroot Salad and Rare Beef Salad. Reflecting on the garden’s growth, Yugal Kishor, Head Chef of Reform Social & Grill, noted, “We are proud to offer a truly unique dining experience that celebrates the best of garden-to-table dining. We believe that using fresh, organic produce grown from our own garden enhances the flavour and quality of our dishes, and we are thrilled to share this experience with our guests.”

Reform Social & Grill’s garden is a true oasis of freshness and flavour – a hidden treasure offering a diverse range of mouth-watering vegetables that are the true secret ingredient featured in the restaurant’s delectable dishes. As the restaurant moves forward with its sustainability initiatives, diners can expect the menu to feature more garden-to-table options, including the upcoming addition of the Superfood Salad. So, taste the sustainability revolution and enjoy a dining experience that is both delicious and responsible at Reform Social & Grill!
