LY-LA, the new sophisticated club and lounge destination in DIFC has finally lifted its velvet curtains, inviting guests to explore its otherworldly creation. With a glamorous interior, curated cocktails and a stellar musical offering, LY-LA is set to elevate Dubai’s nightlife scene.
Tucked away behind a concealed door below Alaya, LY-LA transports guests into a hedonistic haven. An intimate yet glamorous destination for revellers seeking a nightlife experience with an eclectic edge, the hidden sanctum offers intricately designed Arabesque interiors, plush furnishings, and gilded fixtures, exuding opulence and blurring the lines between past and present. The modern Art Deco bar comes to life with its radiating lights and the grand Bedouin-inspired ceiling, offering a lavish immersion into the region’s culture with its richly decorated embroidery, textures, and colours. Featuring intriguing artworks by Shanghai-based art collective Liu Dao, LY-LA blends and transcends Middle Eastern nostalgia with contemporary expressionist art through its modern approach.
Sophisticated and vibrant, the cocktail menu aims to captivate the senses as it explores the region’s rich flavours and culture. An ode to the Middle East and features twists on classics, such as Ayla – Vermouth with Angostura, Mezcal, and Campari, infused with local spices and herbs. Tapping into the region’s root, Najma, translated to “night star” in Arabic, is a concoction of Tequila Reposado, fresh citrus, finished with watermelon and lemongrass. The innovative menu also includes Sahara Ruh, an Aperol and Grenadine mix with Gin, strawberry, blackberry, and topped with Prosecco and Qahwa, a refreshingly sweet mixture of dark rum infused with vanilla, Kahlua, Campari, chocolate bitter, and coffee beans.
Setting the bar for a one-of-a-kind affair, LY-LA amplifies the experience with a carefully curated music repertoire exploring an eclectic unity of genres including afro, melodic and organic house music whilst embracing the sounds of Middle Eastern instruments and the worldly character of the region. Taking the reins with his out-of-this-world set as the resident DJ, Dim Tayllor will take revellers on a euphoric journey through upbeat harmony and otherworldly tunes influenced by the region and beyond.
