ALBA, the acclaimed homegrown fine-dining destination in Downtown Dubai, introduces ‘Taste of ALBA, a late-night dining experience. Available daily from 9:00 PM until closing, this AED 300 set menu offers a journey through Alba’s most beloved dishes, in an atmosphere of calm, and contemporary Japanese charm.
For sushi lovers, the Taste of Alba menu opens with an elegant Signature Platter featuring a variety of sushi including Salmon or Akami Nigiri, Salmon Avocado or Yasai Hand Rolls, Salmon or Akami Sashimi, and Salmon Avocado or Tuna Uramaki.
Setting up the meal with delectable appetisers, diners can then choose two starters, including highlights such as the Broken Cucumber Salad, Rainbow Tartare, Crab Salad, Rainbow Tartare, Grilled Eggplant with kimchi sauce, Chicken Gyoza, and the popular Korean Fried Chicken (KFC).
Serving up both Alba classics and elements from the recently unveiled new menu, guests may select a main from hearty options such as the Chicken Teriyaki Don, Grilled Salmon with sweet avocado and ponzu, or the Stir-Fry Wagyu Noodles, an umami-rich favourite. The experience ends on a sweet note with Alba Wagashi, a dessert trio of mochi, Miso Snicker, and Halva Cookie. The set also includes still water, along with a choice of coffee or tea.
For those headed between Thursdays and Sundays, they can sneak off to Himitsu, the hidden speakeasy tucked behind a secret door at Alba Restaurant, where they can create their own bespoke drinks using a custom-built mechanical ‘cocktail tetris’ system. With over 1,200 possible combinations, every visit becomes an opportunity to explore new flavour profiles and creative concoctions. With seating for just 15 guests, the bar is led by Dikshant Tanwar, a rising star in the regional bar scene. Himitsu regularly hosts global guest shifts, secret DJ-led parties, an ever-evolving drinks program, and is open Thursday to Sunday, from 7PM until the last guest departs.
