
HANU, a new wave of contemporary Korean cuisine at St. Regis Gardens, Palm Jumeirah, unveils its latest tasting experience dedicated to Korea’s most prized ingredient: Hanwoo 1++ beef. This immersive journey, set within HANU’s intimate and elegant setting, reimagines Korean tradition through flame-led techniques, seasonal precision, and elevated storytelling.
Celebrated for its exceptional marbling and delicate, umami-rich flavour, Hanwoo 1++ is among the rarest beef grades in the world — often reserved for special occasions in South Korea. At HANU, this ingredient takes centre stage in a curated menu that reflects the restaurant’s philosophy of craftsmanship, connection, and innovation.
Highlights include the Beef Tartare, prepared yukhoe-style with Korean pear, pine nuts and quail egg; the 1++ Hanwoo Beef Gyoza, filled with shiitake mushrooms, kimchi hummus and chimichurri; and the Crispy Kimbap, a truffled combination of caramelised beef and mushroom rice wrapped in nori. At the heart of the experience, guests are served a chef’s selection of four flame-grilled Hanwoo cuts, complemented by traditional accompaniments such as scallion salad, ban chan, green leaf basket, and a comforting Hanwoo brisket soybean stew.
