The UAE is to participate in the 118th session of the China Import and Export Canton Fair, Canton 2015, which kicks off tomorrow and runs until October 19th in Guangzhou City, southern China.
The UAE delegation will be led by Juma Mohammed Al Kit, Assistant Under-Secretary at the UAE Ministry of Economy for foreign trade, and includes a number of Ministry officials, representatives of federal and local agencies, and more than 35 participants from the businesses, companies and Small and Medium Enterprises, SMEs.
Mr. Al Kait held a preparatory meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy in Dubai, in the presence of members of the delegation and representatives of the Khalifa Fund, in order to review arrangements for the participation of the delegation and the programme of the visit, as well as to discuss ways that would help to get the best results from the fair.
Al Kit said that the Ministry of Economy is keen to participate annually in the exhibition, which is the most famous and prominent event in the world in terms of the amount of goods displayed and the number of exhibitors, buyers and visitors. As such, it constitutes an ideal opportunity for owners of SMEs to gain access to foreign markets and be briefed on experiences in various fields .
