Qatari Minister of Economy and Trade Visits Iran

Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al -Thani , Qatar’s Minister of Economy and Trade and Eshaq Jahangiri Kouhshahi, First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran

Qatar’s Minister of Economy and Trade HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al -Thani has visited the Islamic Republic of Iran, accompanied by a delegation that included a number of businessmen and CEOs of Qatari companies to discuss economic and trade relations between Qatar and Iran and ways of strengthening them.

During the visit, which came at the invitation by the Iranian side, HE the Minister met with the First Vice President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Eshaq Jahangiri Kouhshahi where they exchanged views on aspects of cooperation between the two countries. The Iranian Vice President expressed his wishes for the State of Qatar success in achieving the development process and progress.

HE the Minister also held a session of talks with the Iranian Minister of Industry, Trade and Mines Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh, attended by a number of government officials from the two countries as well as businessmen and heads of Iranian and Qatari companies to review commercial relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them.

HE the Minister also met with the Iranian Minister of Economy and Finance Ali Tayebnia and discussed with him the mutual cooperation.
At the end of the two-day visit, which concluded today HE Minister of Economy and Trade Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al -Thani witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Qatar Primary Materials Co (QPMC) and an Iranian company for importing Gabbro Aggregate and Fine Sand .
