Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed during a meeting today with a Philippine delegation, now visiting Doha, the promotion of trade and investment relations between the two sides.
Philippines Minister of Labour and Employment Rosa Linda Dimapilis-Baldoz who headed the delegation expressed pleasure over her presence in Qatar for the first time after assuming her portfolio saying she feels satisfied over the volume of the Philippine workforce in the State of Qatar.
In her speech during the meeting, the Philippine minister called on Qatari businessmen to inform them about the challenges and obstacles related to bringing the Philippine labour, saying she seeks to support the presence of the Philippine workforce in Qatar.
She pointed out that her fellow workers in Qatar work in various sectors stressing that she and her accompanying delegation are working to remove all obstacles to facilitate the entry of Philippine workers into Qatar.
