The First Palestinian Products Exhibition in Kuwait kicked off on Tuesday at the International Fair Ground in Mishref Tuesday.
“The event is a chance to boost bilateral trade exchange and to introduce Palestinian products to Kuwaiti consumers,” Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for International Organizations and External Trade Affairs Abdullah Al-Owaisi told reporters on the sidelines of the exhibition opening ceremony.
He pointed out that the Palestinian products enjoy a high level of competitiveness that enabled them to have presence at European and several international markets.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several officials of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Palestinian Ambassador Rami Tahboub and a number of businesspeople.
The exhibition showcases products of 39 diverse companies. The displayed products include marble, leather, foodstuff, agricultural products, wood, glass, and furniture.
For his part, the Palestinian Ambassador cheered the exhibition as a step toward stronger commercial relations with Kuwait.
He added that the exhibition is a result of fruitful cooperation between Palestinian and Kuwaiti investors and traders.
