Noor Bank partners with SriLankan Airlines to offer new MasterCard

Noor Bank has partnered with SriLankan Airlines to launch a unique MasterCard credit card that will extend benefits to Silver tier members of the Airline’s FlySmiLes frequent traveller programme.

Silver Tier is allocated to Noor Bank premier credit card customers, and holders of these cards will qualify for exclusive benefits. FlySmiLes silver card members will have access to the exclusive lounge at BIA Katunayake Airport, Colombo, and priority check-in and baggage handling on all Srilankan Airlines flights at all of the airports.

Card holders will also be permitted to carry additional baggage of 12 kilograms on all flights. They can additionally take advantage of the exclusive internet booking promotions and promotional offers for bookings made through Noor Bank’s travel desk. When travelling on SriLankan business class, card holders can use SriLankan or its affiliated lounges as well as the Marhaba lounge located in Dubai.

Waleed Barhaji, Business Head of Consumer Finance, Noor Bank, said, “Noor continues to explore partnerships that will ultimately benefit our loyal customers. Our alliance with SriLankan Airlines articulates this priority. We are confident that this new card will open up a world of convenience to our corporate and retail customers who travel frequently.” SriLankan Airlines Head of Commercial Operations, Fazeel Mohamed, said, “We are pleased to partner with Noor Bank in this venture, where the bank’s premium customers will have the privilege of enjoying the silver tier benefits of our FlySmiLes frequent flyer programme. SriLankan now offers a wide range of benefits to our frequent flyers, such as access to almost 1,000 destinations in over 150 countries, including Sri Lanka, India and the Far East. Through our strategic partnerships with reputed establishments, SriLankan will continue to offer more ways to earn and redeem FlySmiLes frequent flyer miles.” Eyad Al Kourdi, Country Head – UAE, MasterCard commente, “We are excited to partner with SriLankan Airlines and Noor Bank to launch this credit card, which will give premier customers of Noor Bank exclusive benefits and a priceless travel experience. Our partnership enables consumers to make simple, safe and secure payments using our range of innovative payment solutions anytime and anywhere.” Noor Bank customers who obtain the new card will be entitled to enjoy the privileges of the oneworld airline alliance’s frequent flyer programme on more than 15 airlines, including Qantas, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Etihad and Qatar Airways.
