Etisalat enhances its rich data-roaming portfolio with new monthly Business Traveller Packs

Etisalat have announced the launch of eight new data roaming Business Traveller Packs, allowing business customers the flexibility to choose from 30-day one-off packs to monthly recurring plans. The new plans are an extension to Etisalat’s competitive business data packs which were launched last year, making the telecoms provider’s portfolio of business data roaming options the widest in the country.

Speaking on the announcement, John Lincoln, Senior Vice President – Small and Medium Businesses at Etisalat, said, “Etisalat’s international packs are in alignment with the company’s on-going strategy to offer value-packed packages to SMB and enterprise customers. The Business Traveller Packs have been consciously built to provide seamless connectivity to empower the U.A.E. businesses to engage confidently with the world.” Etisalat’s new Business Traveller Packs also aim to meet the huge pace of data usage by the U.A.E.’s business segment. Increasing adoption of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) operational environment by enterprises and the continuing flux in movement across mobile platforms continues to cause massive shifts in usage behaviour. While the compressed data environment is giving way to an explosion in data capacity requirements, corporate clients continue to desire the choicest communications services.

To address this demand, usage-specific access and high data allowances are built into Etisalat’s new international data packs. The options include email-only and email-plus-social-media packs, in addition to Internet access for browsing and downloading. Lincoln added, “The average trip of a roaming customer extends over four days and there are several trips in the same month. Hence, the need for month-long roaming packs is acutely felt. Most of our new roaming packs do not have binding contracts unlike other similar packages in the market.” Customers can choose any of the newly introduced international data monthly bundles to have full control of their business communications and to connect with the world beyond business. The new packs range from 100MB at AED60 to 10GB at AED 1500, with attractive price points of AED200 for 500MB and AED100 for 200MB.

For better control over roaming expenditure, the packs offer customers the facility to track international data usage during their travels. On international roaming charges, he added, “International roaming costs are a worldwide issue because of the prices that networks charge each other, the impact of which, on our customers, is huge. At Etisalat U.A.E., we are determined to minimise global roaming bill shocks and make sure our business customers can simply enjoy their business trips like holidays.” In recognition of the increasing global reach of U.A.E.-based businesses and responding to growing demand for wider and innovative roaming options, Etisalat have said that they will continue to launch new data roaming options in coming months.
