Eros Group applauds Dubai Customs for its exceptional clearance facilitations

The Eros Group has expressed its appreciation for the services offered by Dubai Customs to all business sectors. Group officials stated that Dubai Customs has put in place exceptional clearance facilitations that contribute to expanding the group’s activities locally and regionally. In addition to its flourishing business in the local market, Eros Group re-exports electronics to other countries in the region through Dubai.

A delegation from Eros Group paid a visit to Dubai Customs to express the group’s appreciation. Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, received the delegation and thanked them for their trust. He stressed the importance of creating and maintaining close partnerships between the private and public sectors for leveraging the national economy and enhancing the reputation of the U.A.E. globally.

Deepak J Babani, CEO of Eros Group, presented Ahmed Mahboob with a trophy, in the presence of Abdullah Al Khaja, Executive Director of Customer Management Division, Edris Bahzad, Director of Client Management Department, and Khalfan Rashed Al Keaibi, Manager of Customer Service Management. The delegation from Eros Group comprised Niranjan Gidwani, Deputy Executive Officer, P. Ravichandran, Associate Vice President and A. Manavalan, Assistant Manager.

Mahboob thanked Eros Group for their gesture, adding that the organisation is one of the first businesses to join the Client Accreditation programme launched by Dubai Customs to provide customers with a complete set of facilitations. The most prominent are the automated pre-arrival clearance, consolidated declarations and the B2G channel, which enables them to transfer declarations automatically from their systems to Mirsal 2 and process their transactions and payments electronically. The programme also allows participants to get the services of the Client Ambassadors Initiative.

Ahmed Mahboob affirmed Dubai Customs will maintain its strong support to all clients, providing them with optimal services and facilitations. “We seek higher standards of customer service excellence to attain utmost satisfaction on the part of our clients with whom we engage as full partners. Aiming to meet their best needs and expectations, DC devotes one employee-ambassador to each cluster of business sectors as part of our Client Ambassadors Program. Thanks to direct interaction with clients to provide customs services on-site, a recent survey showed that 97 percent of them are contented with the initiative.” Eros Group is the exclusive distributor of many well-known global trademarks, and specialises in the retailing of consumer electronics, home appliances, telecom, IT and engineering goods and services.
