The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has organized a seminar on public shareholding companies under the new law on commercial companies as part of a series of seminars on the new law.
The seminar aimed to shed the light on the role of the new law in stimulating investment and enhancing the competitiveness of national economy. Officials from the ministry took part in the seminar along with representatives of Qatar University, Qatar Investment Authority, Qatar Financial Markets Authority, Qatar Central Bank, and a group of public shareholding companies, the ministry said Thursday in a press release.
The event focused on the new additions to the law, and privileges to public shareholding companies and how to adjust their situations in accordance with the law.
The ministry said it will continue the seminar series on the new law, with another seminar scheduled for Monday.
