The First Investment Forum was held September 4-5 in the Dominican Republic with Kuwait represented by Ambassador to Cuba and non-resident to Dominican Bader Al-Awadhi.
President of the Dominican Republic, Danilo Medina, opened the forum which focused on tourism industry of the Dominican, said Ambassador Al-Awadhi in a press release.
Ambassador Al-Awadhi said that the Kuwaiti companies and private sector were keen attracting investment from the republic of Dominican especially in the fields of tourism, real estate, and industries.
The forum gave participants a clear picture of all available investment opportunities in the Republic and the economic environment provided by the government to attract investment, the ambassador said.
Meanwhile, the Al-Awadhi held bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the forum with a number of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican, discussing issues of common interest.
