Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) new mall City Centre Me’aisem features the UAE’s first solar panel lighting solution yesterday. The ‘Bionest’ water recycling system in the mall’s parking area is a reflective roofing membrane that minimises solar gain, energy-efficient LEED-compliant lights and water saving taps, with more than 83% of all construction elements coming from recycled material.
The mall is MAF’s sixth City Centre mall in the UAE and twelfth in the region.
The mall is named after the area, Me’aisem, in International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) in Dubai, situated in near the intersection of Al Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road.
The AED275m project will features more than 53 retail outlets including the UAE’s 22nd Carrefour, Magic Planet, and a range of fashion and lifestyle brands. It will also feature MAF’s second City Centre Clinic in Dubai adhering to the needs of residents living in the surrounding 11 communities.
