POWER-GEN Middle East Conference and Exhibition (PGME)

A high-level delegation from the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and several major Russian companies will attend the upcoming POWER-GEN Middle East Conference and Exhibition (PGME) in a bid to increase energy cooperation with the U.A.E..

The delegation will be participating in the two-part “Russia Day” forum hosted by PGME, which will be held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 12th to 14th October. The forum is part of the Russian government’s commitment to providing global energy security, developing international energy cooperation and ensuring sustainable economic development of the MENA region.

“The strength of this delegation demonstrates how important the U.A.E. and the Middle East is to the future of the Russian energy industry,” Nigel Blackaby, Event Director of PGME. “The forum also presents an unprecedented opportunity for regional companies looking to enhance trade with Russia to learn more about potential investment projects in the energy sector and beneficial bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements.” Speakers at the forum will include heads and representatives from Russia’s Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Atomic Energy Corporation (ROSATOM), and companies, including Gazprom, Rosneft, and Techsnabexport.

The plenary session of the event will focus on The Sustainable Development of World Energy. The follow-up sessions at the Russian Exhibition Booth will include presentations about Russia’s 2030 energy strategy, the modernisation of Russia’s electrical networks and other international energy and economic cooperation issues.

In addition to the series of presentations about Russia, POWER-GEN Middle East includes a series of insightful sessions about the current power challenges facing the region and panel discussions to explore the latest trends and technologies. The U.A.E.’s power and water infrastructure will feature strongly throughout the event.
