DEWA is one of only four organisations globally who were awarded with both the Sword of Honour and Globe of Honour.

Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA received the awards at an awards distribution ceremony at the historic Drapers’ Hall in London.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA dedicated the awards to Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

“The vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, have always guided us towards achieving excellence and reaching the number one position globally at all levels. Winning both the Sword of Honour and Globe of Honour demonstrates DEWA’s efforts and strategy to implement the highest standards in health, safety and the environment,” he said.

“To achieve our vision to become a sustainable world-class utility, DEWA constantly strives to implement the most stringent standards in health, safety, and the environment. DEWA’s experienced and qualified staff help it achieve its commitments. We adopt the best international standards and practices in health and safety in our current and future projects, to enhance a safe and healthy work environment to serve our customers, partners, and society as a whole for a sustainable future for generations to come,” added Al Tayer.

“Our warmest congratulations to Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. These awards recognise and celebrate the efforts of businesses who are at the forefront of managing health, safety and environmental risks,” said Neal Stone, Policy and Communications Director at the British Safety Council.
