The contractor received the site in mid of June and started the necessary preparations for the construction of the hospital , said SCH.

The hospital is one of three hospitals for bachelor workers being built by the Special Engineering Office. They are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2016, each with a capacity of 120 beds, expandable to 217 beds.

Work on other projects which will include Mesaieed Industrial City and Ras Laffan Industrial City, is scheduled to start at the end of August. Each hospital includes attached health center and a medical commission unit.

These projects come within SCH’s plan to create a network of hospitals and health centers to provide integrated healthcare services for expatriate workers.
