The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the construction of internal roads in nine residential communities stretching 193 km at a cost of about AED 400 million spanning Hatta, Al Quoz 2, 3 and 4, Khawaneej 1, and Barsha 1, 2 and 3. These projects are part of the first and second batch of the 5-Year Plan (2012-2016) endorsed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E. and Ruler of Dubai, covering the pavement of internal roads in several residential districts of the Emirate of Dubai at a total cost of about one billion dirham. The plan underscores the keenness of HH to improve and upgrade internal roads to meet the demographic and urban expansion in the Emirate.
