Provis and Khidmah Headquarters Wins Arabian Property Award 2020

Provis and Khidmah’s joint headquarters in Abu Dhabi has been named winner of the “Office Interior Award” category as part of the Arabian Property Awards 2020. The award-winning progressive office was designed by M+N Architecture and executed by fit-out contractor Design Infinity to encompass numerous features that promote sustainability, employee collaboration, customer excellence and overall aesthetic qualities.

The Arabian Property Awards focus on the design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability of each project. Considered as the world’s most prestigious recognition of excellence in the property industry, each award entry is reviewed by over 80 independent industry panel experts.

M+N Architecture designed the winning headquarters to meet the stringent Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standard guidelines, while meeting the challenge of supporting dual characteristics of both the Khidmah and Provis brand ethos. The office, located in one of the UAE’s most well-known shopping, dining and entertainment destination (Yas Mall), has become a spectacle for both employees and visitors with its unique character, welcoming entrance and open spaces that promote collaboration and employee productivity.

H.P Aengaar, CEO at Provis, said, “We are delighted to be recognized by one of the property and real-estate industry’s most respected award bodies. Provis and Khidmah had a vision for a modern office that is unique, functional and sustainable. Not only was that achieved but it surpassed our expectations and we are honoured that our peers globally are highlighting this effort.”

Aengaar added, “The design of our office reflects our seriousness about protecting the environment and creating a space that enhances the functionality and comfort level of our employees, encouraging and enabling them to provide a second to none real estate journey and experience to our customers.”

Lorenzo Zoli, Managing Director of M+N Architecture, said “We are very proud and honoured to receive such a reputed international award, which recognizes all the features of this project and certifies our commitment to quality design. I congratulate all the parties who were involved in the project, from our clients to our own design and supervision staff, the fit-out contractor Design Infinity and all sub-consultants and suppliers.”

He continues, “Working on this project was challenging and thrilling at the same time, as we had to work within the LEED guidelines, on a specific timeframe and budget but in a very unusual space for an office in a windowless shopping mall unit which offered great design opportunities. We used the higher-than-normal internal height and the need to open new windows and skylights as a chance to conceive a concept that turns the ceilings and natural light into the main character of the project.”

Earlier this year, Provis and Khidmah headquarters was awarded with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum Certification by the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and has received the highest level of points in LEED Interior Design and Construction (ID+C) Commercial Interiors certification in the GCC region. The office became the fourth project in the world to achieve 90 points in the USGBC rating, across all sectors.
