Nagham Al Zahlawi, Deputy General Manager, N.F.T Specialized in Tower Cranes L.L.C, give us an overview of what 2020 is going to look like for the company.
2020
In 2020, our vision is to continue to support our clients by providing the highest performing tower cranes with superior technical support. In addition, we are looking at more geographic expansion and rental partners who can support us locally in new markets. At NFT, we pride ourselves with the ability that we can deliver tower cranes and hoists to any country and immediately. We want to emphasize this strategy even more this year.
Products
As you know NFT is the number one dealer for Potain worldwide so our latest product innovation follows that of the manufacturer. Potain is introducing the hydraulic MRH 175 at Conexpo and we have already bought a few for Europe and the UK. We also bought many MD 809, which answers the strong demand for bigger topless cranes. As for NFT, we are working on several projects to develop our asset management solution since we have now relocated our head office to the yard. Our 300,000 square meter yard is already home to our 2000 used and new tower cranes, 500 hoists and 35,000 spare parts elements. We have also broken grounds for building our reconditioning facility for refurbishing used cranes which aims to be complete by Q3 2020.
Challenges
We are waiting on several mega projects to be awarded in the GCC and worldwide. The world’s geo-political and economic instabilities continue to be challenging this year but we remain optimistic.
