UAE top steelmaker Emirates Steel today announced that it has been awarded the Gold Category of the prestigious Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA 2014), which was presented to winners yesterday by H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, at a ceremony held at Emirates Palace.

CEO Saeed G Al Romaithi commented, “We are honored to receive this prestigious award, which comes to acknowledge our dedication and efforts in focusing on our customers and providing them with world-class steel products”.

Winning the Gold Category demonstrates the Abu Dhabi-based steelmaker’s continuous improvements in its manufacturing process and the significant changes the 3-billion dollar company has brought to all of its product range delivery.

“On behalf of the 2,400 strong workforce of Emirates Steel, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for their continuous and generous support, and to the SKEA esteemed panel of evaluators for honoring our timeless pursuit of excellence and recognizing our adherence to professional best practices,” he added.
