Arada has completed and begun the handover process for 101 high-end townhouses and semi-detached villas in the Sarab community, located in the first residential phase of the AED24 billion Sharjah megaproject Aljada. The completion of these houses means that Arada has now completed almost 1,000 units since it handed over its first homes in Aljada in January this year.
The developer has also awarded the contract to build the second Sarab villa community at Aljada to Dubai-based RAQ Contracting. Valued at AED75 million, the contract will see the construction of 114 villas and townhouses over a 16-month period. Work on the community has already begun and is scheduled for completion in January 2023.

The two Sarab communities feature the only villas and townhouses in the Aljada masterplan and are designed to make the most of green parks, natural light and ventilation to ensure the perfect living experience for couples and young families. All homes at Sarab come with smart home features as standard and a cooker, hood and washing machine/drier installed.
The highlight of the first Sarab community is a hidden residents-only gym and swimming pool, which is surrounded by trees and built below ground level, thus complementing the sense of privacy and exclusivity found throughout the entire development.
Although both communities are located in peaceful and secluded parts of Aljada, they are both just a few minutes’ walk away from Madar, a 1.9 million square foot complex designed by Zaha Hadid Architects that is the fastest-growing leisure and entertainment space in the UAE.
So far this year, Arada has handed over the seven Areej Apartments buildings and the three Rehan Apartments buildings in the first phase of Aljada.
The developer has also recently completed the first phase of Sharjah’s newest school, SABIS® International School – Aljada, which welcomed its first pupils at the end of August in time for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Spread over a 24 million square foot area, Aljada is Sharjah’s largest ever project and a transformational destination for the Emirate. Aljada contains numerous residential districts, as well as extensive retail, hospitality, entertainment, sporting, educational, healthcare components and a business park, all set within a green urban master plan.
