Sports Boulevard unveils The Grove, a dynamic open-air destination blending culture, design, and community

Sports Boulevard announced the opening of The Grove, one of the newest destinations within the Sports Boulevard project in Riyadh. The open-air urban and cultural destination extends 1.2 kilometers along Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road, between the Arts Tower and Suwaid bin Haritha Street, covering more than 23,000 square meters.

The destination features water elements and green spaces as well as areas for events and sports activities, cafés and retail outlets, children’s play areas, parking facilities, and pedestrian and cycling paths for both professionals and amateurs. Together, the elements create an open and inclusive environment that encourages a healthy lifestyle and community engagement.

The completion of The Grove comes less than a year after the opening of the first phase of the Riyadh Sports Boulevard project in February. The phase included several key destinations, including Wadi Hanifah, the Promenade, the Sands Sports Park, the Arts Tower area, and the internal cycling loop at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.

The Riyadh Sports Boulevard project is one of the capital’s major development initiatives, launched by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on March 19, 2019. Its board of directors is chaired by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister.

The project aims to enhance Riyadh’s standing among the world’s most livable cities and support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by promoting physical, mental, and social well-being, fostering a healthy and dignified lifestyle, and providing a positive, attractive environment for residents and visitors.
Designed in line with the highest international standards and the Sports Boulevard Code derived from the principles of Salmani Architecture, the project is set to become the world’s longest linear park, stretching over 135 kilometers and featuring more than 50 sports venues and more than 3 million square meters of prime investment opportunities.

Construction continues on the remaining destinations, including the Valley, the King Abdulaziz Road Tunnel, and the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Road Tunnel in accordance with the approved implementation plan.
A dedicated page on the Sports Boulevard website provides comprehensive information for visitors about the project and how to access it at www.SportsBoulevard.sa.

The Grove hosts a wide range of recreational and sporting events throughout the year, including cultural workshops and fitness programs, making it an ideal destination for families and individuals seeking an enjoyable and healthy experience in the heart of Riyadh.
