HE the Minister of Finance Ali Shareef Al Emadi held talks with US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, focusing on ways to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
They discussed a number of economic and trade issues of mutual interest, including encouraging mutual investment in a number of vital sectors, and increasing the volume of trade exchange.
The two sides plan to hold further discussions to activate and push forward trade and economic relations between the two countries.
HE the Minister of Finance Ali Shareef Al Emadi and HE Governor of Qatar Central Bank Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud Al-Thani met with Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence David Cohen in Washington DC, on the sidelines of their participation in the annual meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund.
Discussion, during the meeting, dealt with scopes of cooperation between the two countries in combating terrorism and money laundering.
