The State of Qatar has assumed the rotational presidency of the Organization of Arab Exporting Countries (OAPEC) for the year 2015.
A press release issued today by the Ministry of Energy and Industry said Qatar’s assumption of OAPEC presidency came after OAPEC’s 93rd session, held in Abu Dhabi.
OAPEC ministers discussed topics on the agenda. Qatar delegation to the meeting was led by HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohamed bin Saleh Al-Sada.
According to the decision, as of the year 2015, HE the Minister of Energy and Industry will become the Chairman of the OAPEC’s Ministerial Council, while Qatar’s representative at OAPEC Executive Bureau Sheikh Mishaal bin Jabor Al-Thani, will become of the organization’s executive office.
