The World Bank on Thursday said China’s economy held firm in the third quarter of 2025, bringing year-to-date GDP growth to 5.2 percent year-on-year.
In its latest China Economic Update, the lender estimated full-year growth at 4.9 percent and forecast 4.4 percent for 2026, citing persistent headwind.
Recent fiscal steps and steadier global trade policies are likely to underpin investment and exports, it said.
