The Surge in online trading accounts and need for effortless fund withdrawals

The online trading industry in the Middle East is experiencing rapid growth and is projected to reach a value of USD 1 trillion by 2025, according to the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). As a result, online trading accounts are becoming increasingly popular among investors today, especially with the emphasis on and growth of digital technology.

Users with a trading account can trade currencies, mutual funds, commodities, and exchange- traded funds (ETFs). Among the markets surveyed in the leverage trading industry in 2023, the UAE stands out as a market experiencing rapid growth, as reported by Investment Trends. Over the years, the UAE market has only grown positively with the number of traders increasing by 9 per cent.

The increasing need of seamless fund withdrawal processes
Unlike in the past, trading accounts are now maintained by brokers. These financial brokers play a vital role in ensuring that investors have an ideal online trading experience. Recently, a noticeable trend has emerged in the financial landscape, with investors increasingly drawn to trading accounts that provide seamless fund withdrawal processes following the closing of an account. This is due to the difficulties that many investors encounter when trying to close their accounts and request a withdrawal of the funds, causing dissatisfaction among the investors.

Investors may have difficulty withdrawing funds from their accounts for a number of different reasons. For instance, certain investment accounts have specific guidelines or limitations regarding the amount and timing of withdrawals. These restrictions may be based on the type of investment, its duration, or contractual agreements between you and your broker or investment provider. Additionally, trades often involve a settlement period during which the transaction is processed and finalised. This period varies depending on the type of investment and market, and funds may be temporarily unavailable for withdrawal at the time.

Orient Finance Brokers, a leading financial trading company, strives to enhance the overall quality of investor experience by providing quick, easy, and flexible withdrawal options. Seraj Khan, Managing Director of Orient Finance, says, “These days, the emphasis on convenience and speed in the fund withdrawal process by brokerage firms are one of the main factors contributing to the growing popularity of customer trading accounts. The ability to quickly access and transfer funds without the bureaucratic obstacles often associated with traditional financial institutions is highly valued by all investors, regardless of their experience level. These transactions are also real-time, which fits in with the fast-paced nature of modern investment strategies. As a result, we believe it is critical that investors have these options to make this a seamless experience.”

Investing in financial markets requires agility due to their volatile nature. Trading accounts that allow for easy fund withdrawals make it possible for investors to quickly adapt to market changes. This flexibility, as opposed to traditional accounts with extended withdrawal periods, enables them to take advantage of new opportunities or quickly mitigate losses.

Control and Convenience
Investors are also demanding more control over their financial assets. New-age investors who value autonomy and independence in managing their portfolios will especially appreciate this ability to quickly withdraw funds, thus enhancing the overall user experience and level of satisfaction. Moreover, user satisfaction is higher on trading platforms that prioritise user- friendly interfaces and hassle-free withdrawal processes. This positive experience encourages customer loyalty and word-of-mouth referrals, resulting in an influx of new investors.

The financial industry is clearly evolving as evidenced by the increase in investors opting for trading accounts with simplified fund withdrawal processes. Investor preference for certain trading accounts over others is increasing as the convergence of speed, flexibility, improved user experience, technological advancements, and services grows to be an integral factor in the investment landscape.
