Sharp expands its half-cut cell portfolio with a black-framed 410W M10 PV panel

A new black-framed panel with 108 half-cells for easy handling, installation and overall system integration

Sharp today announces the addition of a new black-framed 410W monocrystalline PERC silicon photovoltaic panel to its half-cut cell portfolio – the NU-JC410B. The lightweight NU-JC410B module is built with a white backsheet and a black frame. It is suitable for long and short frame side clamping and is designed for residential, small-scale commercial and industrial rooftop installations. The low weight, compact dimension as well as the mounting flexibility make this module easy and comfortable for handling, installation and overall system integration.

High power output

The NU-JC410B comes with an efficiency of 21%.

A low temperature coefficient of -0.341%/°C ensures higher performance at high ambient temperatures, which is becoming increasingly important because of climate change and the resulting rise in temperatures.

High product reliability

The new module is built with M10 wafer (182 mm) half-cells. 10 busbar technology using round ribbons increases the power gain from each cell and makes them less sensitive to microcracks, thus offering higher module reliability.

All Sharp half-cell modules have three small junction boxes instead of just one, each fitted with one bypass diode. These junction boxes transfer less heat to the cells above and, in turn, boost the longevity of the panels and the overall performance of the system.

The panel is equipped with the original MC4 connector, which makes it compatible with most mainstream optimisers, inverters and mounting systems.

The safety, quality and durability of the panel has been recognised with IEC seals (IEC61215 and IEC61730). The module has been tested for compliance with international standards and for endurance under extreme conditions, passing tests for ammonia, salt mist, sand and PID resistance.

Easy to handle

With dimensions of 1722 x 1134 mm, a 30 mm frame height and a weight of just 20.7 kg, the NU-JC410B meets the requirements for easy residential, small-scale commercial and industrial (C&I) rooftop system installation and system integration. The panel is suitable for short and long frame side clamping, screwing and sliding. This makes it perfect for flexible mounting assembly, resulting in low balance of system & CapEx costs.

The NU-JC410B is covered by Sharp’s 15-year product guarantee and 25-year performance guarantee, with a minimum of 85% in year 25, for those within the EU and various other countries. The guarantee starts at the point the panel is delivered to the end customer.

Andrew Lee, Sales Director EMEA SHARP Energy Solutions Europe: “With the new black-framed half-cut cell NU-JC410B panel, we are expanding our product portfolio with a module for easy handling and installation for residential and small-scale C&I rooftop installations, which offers high performance and reliability. Based on a customer-driven product concept, we always endeavour to improve the performance and design of PV modules in order to create more value for our customers. The black frame module meets the requirements of design-oriented customers.”
